Descripción del proyecto: | The proposed project includes a change in use of 132,061 gross square feet from self-storage facility to Internet Services Exchange (ISE) within an existing four-story building at 1828 Egbert Avenue. The project would construct a new four-story addition (measuring approximately 6,091 square feet) for mechanical support along the north façade, as well as, new infrastructure and mechanical equipment consisting of new mechanical cooling and emergency backup power. The project would also install: new paving for the off-street parking; new concrete slabs for fuel tanks, water tanks and electrical switchgears; and, a new rooftop noise barrier. The project would add new off-street parking for a total of forty-five off-street parking spaces, including four handicap-accessible parking spaces. Currently, the project site has one off-street loading space, accessible from Egbert Avenue.
Pursuant to Planning Code Sections 210.3, 303, and 304, the Planning Commission must grant a Conditional Use Authorization-Planned Unit Development to establish an Internet Services Exchange (ISE) with specific modifications to Planning Code requirements for off-street parking as defined in Planning Code Section 151. |
